FAQ
What licence do I need?
A valid motorcycle licence from your home country PLUS an International Driving Permit (IDP) endorsed for motorcycles. Thai law requires both, and our insurance only covers properly-licensed riders. The lead guide may decline anyone who clearly cannot ride a big bike safely.
How experienced do I need to be?
For the Mae Hong Son Loop or Pink Ribbon tour: comfortable on big-displacement bikes (650cc+) and confident on twisty mountain roads. For Pai Enduro: previous off-road experience is required. For the Golden Triangle: long-distance touring experience helps but the pace is forgiving.
What’s the group size?
Tours run with 4โ12 riders plus lead guide and chase-vehicle support. Private tours for 2 riders are available on request โ get in touch for pricing.
What about luggage?
Your main luggage rides in the chase vehicle all day. You only carry what you need on the bike (water, layers, camera).
Best time to ride?
November to February is peak season โ cool, dry, clear skies. March to May is hot but still rideable. June to October is monsoon season โ fewer tourists but expect afternoon rain. We run tours year-round but recommend NovโFeb for first-timers.
Deposit & refund policy?
A 30% deposit reserves your spot. Full refund up to 30 days before departure, 50% refund within 30โ14 days, no refund inside 14 days. We strongly recommend trip insurance.
Can I bring a non-riding partner?
Pillion passengers are welcome on the touring routes (Golden Triangle, MHS, Pink Ribbon) for a discounted rate โ not available on the Pai Enduro for safety reasons. Get in touch for pillion pricing.
What if it rains?
It rains. Bring waterproof gear or borrow ours. Tours run rain or shine โ only severe weather (typhoons, road closures) triggers a reschedule.
